One of the places I like the most is the port of Havana, where I always go and where you can see what we call the “elevados”, a place where the train runs near the harbour. The port has always meant something to me, it’s where people work hard, and for me it’s a symbol, because when I was a child, my grandfather would take me there to eat chicken and stuff…It’s where you really see people.
The port of Havana… where the “malecón” ends and reaches all the way to the commodity exchange, from that point until it disappears in the distance, all that part there. To see the sea there, the boats, the factories and all those things there…
