Since 2009 Havana Club has been collaborating with world-renowned DJ & tastemaker Gilles Peterson to bring the best of Havana’s musical talent to an international audience through album production, live performances and much more.

Havana Cultura Album 2011

Continuing his longstanding love affair with Cuba and its musical melting pot, globetrotting DJ / broadcaster Gilles Peterson is back with a new chapter in his Havana Cultura album series – producing an original studio album on CD01 and lovingly curating a compilation of new Cuban talent on CD02.
Mala in Cuba Album 2012

"Mala in Cuba" was initiated in 2011 when Mala, a British/Jamaican electronic artist internationally known as being at the origins of the original "dubstep" movement, traveled to Cuba during the recording of The Search Continues. This album is a combination of the sound system culture of London and the rhythmic leanings of Cuban jazz.

Recorded in only one day in the celebrated Egrem studio in Havana, this first Havana Cultura Sessions album, co-produced by Gilles Peterson and Roberto Fonseca, combines some of the finest musicians in Havana, as well as a stripped-down production of Afro Cuban Jazz-inspired rhythms, and the powerful vocal talent of singer Danay Suarez.
Havana Cultura Live

The Havana Cultura project tours all around the world with Gilles Peterson’s Havana Cultura Band, featuring some of today’s best Cuban musicians and artists.
