The Sea
What I most like is going to the sea, I have that natural feeling for it because my father is a merchant seaman and I have always been surrounded by water and on ships, and I like it. Even when I got back from school I would study by the shore. I would take my “tres” (*) and guitar and I would read my lessons there, because my house was and has always been on the sea, all my life, so I have a natural affinity for the sea and there I find deep peace and feel good.
(*) The tres is a particular Cuban guitar, with three pairs of strings.
