“Yusa and Telmary are two singers that I was already a big fan of before I started on this project so to have them both on the album is an honour for me. Yusa’s voice is magnificent and ‘Candao Cerrao’ is the track I’ve listened to most whilst doing this!’
Something of a prodigy, Yusa has been making music since she was six years old. She attended the famed Amadeo Roldán Music Conservatory where she chose to concentrate on a particular type of Cuban guitar called a ‘tres’, for its three pairs of strings. A talented jazz musician and multi- instrumentalist, Yusa has three albums to her name, working alongside the likes of Pável Urquiza, Roberto Carcassés, Jorge Alexander Pérez and Descemer Bueno.
