Alexey Rodríguez Mola and Magia Lopez first met in 1993 and discovered that they shared the same passion and commitment to establishing hip hop as a legitimate expression of Cuban culture. Working under the moniker Obsesión, they released their debut album ‘Un Montón de Cosas’ (a collaboration with jazz pianist Roberto Fonseca) in 2000, and co-founded Cuban art collective La FabriK alongside Doble Filo.
