A true master of modern jazz, indigenous Cuban rumba and just about anything in between, Harold won first prize in the solo piano competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2005. His mother is a piano teacher, his father and brother are celebrated drummers, his uncle Ernán López-Nussa is a pianist and one of the giants of Cuban jazz. They all had a hand in helping Harold, who recently completed recording his third album, become the young phenomenon he is today.
